So for the past week one side of my chuff has been itchy and tender, but only the crevice in between the labia. I've been producing a thick film of dead skin/discharge build up by about 4:00 in the crevice. I have no discharge and no other symptoms. After I have a shower I and air out for a while the itching goes a way for a couple of hours. It doesn't really matter what type of undies I wear. I looked online for different infections and I can't really find any that fits.

I'm thinking maybe the hot weather is causing me to sweat more and it's getting trapped (trench cunt?). What else could cause this? What can I do to stop it?

I was just curious? Is there anything I can do or take to stop my vagina from producing so much discharge?

I don't know if I am in the right community, but I was wondering is there anything I can do or prevent from douching alot? Or to get rid of that burning itch?

I am writing to both provide information to other nulliparous women with IUD or considering one, and gather more information from/about nulliparous women with IUD. It is extremely difficult to find info. or feedback on/from women WITHOUT children who have an IUD. Please respond if you apply to this category or can help.

I had an IUD inserted aprox 2 1/2 yrs ago, am age 26, married with no children. I was and still am taking Topamax as part of a combo therapy to manage bipolar illness, as well as prevent migraines. Topamax interferes with estrogen used in HBC, and because of this and the fact that I was already married, had no previous hx of STD, and a college student with 2+ yrs of school to go, and my insurance covered 100% of the cost, my doc was open to the idea of using an IUD even though I am nulliparous. My OB/GYN gave me Mirena as she stated it caused less cramping than the copper IUD.

Prior to insertion, she instructed me that it would be mildly uncomfortable, but I had researched it already and knew I would probably be squirming a bit. She dilated my cervix, then inserted the IUD. It was the most horrible pain I've experienced to date, and she was less than sympathetic. I didn't boo-hoo or anything but was speechless and requested something for pain, which I didn't get- she recommended OTC ibuprofen. (My mother gave me a Lortab after.) And I experienced continuous severe cramping for approximately 4 mos, and intermittent severe-moderate cramping for another full year. I used Ibuprofen to aid in the relief of these cramps, FYI, as it inhibits prostaglandin.

When I went to my 1mo checkup, I had questions regarding the normalcy of my cramping. As it was only a visit to check placement, I was seen by her partner, a male horse's ass of an OB. While he was checking the strings, he told me that he "would have never given a nulliparous woman an IUD," and that I was like a "guinea pig"  because "there isn't significant research to support the benefits vs. risks." I haven't even been back to her office for my yearly pap. I am currently seeking a more holistic OB/GYN.

Now, 2 1/2 yrs later I have noticed a drastic decrease in the total intensity and frequency of cramping, but several factors will always set it off- 1) a large bowel movement; 2) having rough or prolonged sex; 3) my "period," if it can be called one. Other side effects I have noticed include:
- a decrease in sex drive( r/t cramping and random spotting and constantly trying to protect this thing in my uterus maybe??)
- random spotting/passage of mucous at any time, also r/t bms or sex
- unpredictable, irregular "periods"
- prolonged total bleeding time with "periods"  (12-14 days- previously with HBC was only 2-5 days)
- decreased bleeding with "periods" (only need to use a pantyliner)
- passing of serosanguinous mucous instead of blood during "period"
- change in vaginal odors; not purulent but stronger at times regardless of hygiene

(Notice I did not mention moodiness; it would not be accurate for me to do so as I am treated for a mood disorder)

I take good care of myself physically, emotionally, and spiritually, with regular meditation. In looking at this picture holistically, I'm trying to decide what is the next step for me and if I should continue to use Mirena.

My husband and I may try to become pregnant within the next 2-3 years, and I wonder if I should keep the IUD until then or have it removed because I feel like a "guinea pig" with no true research to back up health risks of Mirena in nulliparous women. I am concerned for the overall health of my uterus and fertility status upon removal of the IUD.

Again, I am interested in information from/about women who have not had children yet and have an IUD, or healthcare practitioners of any sort who have worked with such women. Please share any thoughts, concerns, or questions...

Hey guys,
I have a question for you. I was wondering when does a woman loose her libido? And how can she gain it back?

Boy who truthed
Hey all! I'm new here, but I hunted you down to find out what is going on with me. I had a pap yesterday afternoon, no big deal, but slightly more uncomfortable than I remembered them to be. Yesterday evening I went to the bathroom and got a shooting pain in my vagina when I started to urinate. I had never experienced that after a pap before, so I just brushed it off as a fluke body experience. However, I woke up this morning from cramping in my pelvic area and again, it hurt when I used the bathroom.
I've never had this happen after a pap, but I also haven't had very many. Is this normal for anyone else?

I am a 24-year-old woman who has been on the Pill since I was about nineteen. I have dysmenorrhea and it was the only thing that really helped me predict my periods and have no cramps at all. I was totally happy with Ortho Tricyclen Lo, and had no problems on it. But a few months ago, I started getting a little spotting mid-cycle--right before I started taking the row of pills before the placebos. I thought at first that it was just because I was taking the pills a little late in the day. So I was more strict with myself and took them at the same time every day.

I still had spotting at the same time two cycles later, so my doctor recommended putting me on a stronger dose of Pill and prescribed me TriSprintec. I didn't like that so much and only stayed with it for four months, during which I had more spotting, but at the same time as on my old Pill. So now I'm back on OTC Lo, and happy about it---but I still have spotting! At the same time! Less of it, but it still happens. My periods are normal and I have absolutely no other symptoms besides the spotting.

I am so scared. I have never, ever been sexually active (never even kissed a guy) and so I know my chances of it being cervical cancer are very low. I'm going to make an appointment with a gynocologist soon. I've never had a real Pap smear because I'm built pretty narrow down there and the speculum really hurts. But last year my doctor said my cervix looked okay. I haven't had a Pap since then, but that will change!

Has anyone else ever had this problem? If it's not cancer, what else could it be? Please, any advice at all would be fine. I'm just trying to get this all off my chest. I don't know what's causing the problem, and I really want to know.

About 3 years ago I started to notice that my ankles and feet were starting to swell at various times. I couldn't seem to make a correlation between any particular activity and the swelling. It just happened. I avoid salt like the plague, I watch what I eat and while I am overweight, I do go to the gym 3 times a week and I am pretty active. A couple of years ago my doctor put me on some diuretics for the water retention - I'm up to 40 MG of Lasix a day now. I was on another medication as well - Triemtirene (sp?) which seemed to work well. The doctor took me off that and my ankles and legs NEVER look normal anymore. I can't wear skirts or shorts or capris because I refuse to walk around with elephant legs.

No one will tell me WHY my body does this! And nothing I do seems to help at all. When I was on the combination of the 2 diuretics I at least had some days where I looked normal but no more. It's embarrassing, it is annoying and it is getting harder to wear my shoes.

Has anyone experienced this? Anyone shed a little light on this? I am really fed up with my doctors - I need to change offices.

This is my first post and I have a question that needs to be answered. First, I'll give you some background...
I'm a 23 year old female, not on birth control at the moment because I'm waiting for my insurance to approve me getting an IUD, and my boyfriend and I are not using protection. So, here's my dilemma.. On April 10th my boyfriend and I had unprotected sex and on the 13th of April I purchased the Morning After pill and took it as it was directed. Then, on April 19th I got my period and it ended on the 23rd (which was odd it ended so soon cause my periods usually last for 7 days) My boyfriend and I had unprotected sex (but he pulled out this time) the same day my period ended. Now, the following day which would be the 24th I started having mild cramping on the left side and center of my lower abdomend (feels like menstrual cramps) which has never happened to me before. I'm still having slight cramping on and off since the cramping has started. So if anyone has had the similar thing happen or at least can give me some sort of advice I would greatly appreciate it!! I'm just worried because I have read other post on yahoo answers about this whole cramping after your period and a lot of the answers are pointing to pregnancy....!!! Could it be? Again, please help and should I talk to my boyfriend about whats going on with my body?
